slow cooker Candied Pecans

  • 4 cups pecans
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  1. In a large bowl, beat an egg white until frothy.
  2. Mix the pecans in with the egg white and stir in the sugar and the brown sugar.
  3. Add in the melted butter, corn syrup, and vanilla.
  4. Spray the crock-pot with a cooking spray or line with foil, then add the pecan mixture.
  5. Cook for 3 hours on low, stirring the pecans every half hour.
  6. Remove the pecans from the crock-pot and let dry on parchment or wax paper, separating them as they dry.
