This dribbling soccer drill will help players recognize when to make runs and get comfortable making those runs with speed and good techniques.

Basic Information
Age Group: (5-7yrs) (8-11yrs) (12-15yrs)
Number of Players: 4+
Difficulty: Medium
Time: 5-15 min.
Emphasis: dribbling, attacking, defending
Field Preparation:
- in pairs
- each pair with a ball
- cone goals (2-3 yds)
- supply of cones
- repeat setup to accommodate entire team
Description:
- the player with the ball tries to dribble through as many cone goals as possible
- players cannot go through the same goal twice in a row
- if the defender wins ball, he gives it back to the attacker
- switch roles after appr. 45-60 seconds
- play for 2-3 rounds
- player with most goals wins
Variation:
- play in teams (3v3 with one ball)
- if the defender wins the ball he is allowed to score
- if a player beats the defender with a move, he is awarded an extra point
