Field Preparation:
- group of 6
- center grid (10yds x 10yds)
- outer grids (6yds x 10yds)
- cones to mark off area
- good supply of balls for continuous play
- repeat setup to accommodate the entire team
- pinnies for defenders to carry
Description:
- play keep away
- attackers cannot leave their designated area
- only one defender is allowed in the outer grid at one time
- if a player in the outer grid loses the ball or makes a mistake he then switches role with a defender
- first pass is free
Variation:
- play with only one defender to start
- allow both defenders to enter an outer grid
- limit number of touches
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
