4v4 Sweeper Keeper Counters

Basic Information
Age Group: (5-7yrs) (8-11yrs) (12-15yrs) (16-Adult)
Number of Players: 7+
Difficulty: Medium
Time: 15-25 min.
Emphasis: Dribbling, Finishing, Attacking, Defending
Field Preparation:
- 2 teams
- grid (40yds x 50yds)
- cones to mark off area
- 2 cone goals (3-5yds) with goalie
- 1 endzone 2-4 yds deep
- 1 goal with goalie
- pinnies
Description:
- defending team defends the large goal with goalie
- attacking team defends 2 cone goals with sweeper keeper (keeper covers both goals)
- sweeper keeper must stay in his zone but can be used as a negative target (two touch max.) for support
Variation:
- no players allowed in end zone except for sweeper keeper
- if ball goes out of bounce corner kicks are to be taken from goal line with large goal
- if the defending team scores it switches roles with the attacking team
- play 5v5, 6v6, 7v7, 8v8 etc.
- adjust size of field if necessary

- switch point of attack
