Basic Information

Age Group: (5-7yrs) (8-11yrs) (12-15yrs)

Difficulty: Easy
Time: 5-10 min.
Emphasis: Dribbling, Passing

Field Preparation:

  • 4-6 players max per station
  • 2 balls per station
  • supply of cones
  • repeat setup to accommodate the entire team


  • the first player from each group dribbles zig zac through cones and then makes a short pass to the next player in line as shown
  • players start simultaneously to the right (left) side


  • specify how players must dribble (inside or outside of foot, left or right foot only etc.)
  • vary number of cones players have to dribble through
  • both players make a pass to the opposite side first and then start to dribble
  • adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group if necessary

  • first touch
  • agility and balance
  • contact surface of foot
  • change of speed & direction
  • close control
  • soft touch
