Basic Information

Field Preparation:
- 3 teams
- grid (40yds x 50yds)
- cones to mark off area
- 2x goals with goalies
- pinnies
- supply of balls ready for continuous play
Description:
- one defending team in front of each goal as shown (red + blue)
- one attacking team starts in the middle
- the attacking team starts with the ball and attempts to score on one goal with the defenders (red) trying to prevent this
- if the ball is won by the defending team the defenders give it right back to the attacking team who
- now starts an attack on the other goal which is defended by the blue team
- switch roles after 5-7 minutes
Variation:
- play 3v3v3, 5v5v5 etc.
- create a numbers up situation (i.e. 5 attackers vs. 2 x 3 defenders)
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
