Warm Up Parcours # 1

The soccer dribbling drills here attempt to enable you to teach your players in running with the ball at their feet, defeating players using their technique plus speed. It is on the list of key abilities in the sport so we go through the specifics of the skills necessary to dribble like Messi or Ribery. We demonstrate a few activities as well as routines to aid your players develop into great dribblers.

Basic Information

Age Group:(5-7yrs) (8-11yrs) (12-15yrs)
Number of Players: 5+
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
Time: 5-15 min.
Emphasis: Dribbling

Field Preparation:

  • each player with a ball
  • good supply of cones


  • players dribble through the course and return to the start (5 rounds)
  • on the way back on the outside of grid from 10 to 2 to 1 dribble sideways or backwards


  • specify how players must dribble (left or right foot, inside or outside foot etc.)
  • players try to catch player in front of them (if caught, player has to do 10 x squat jumps)
  • adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
