THE NON PLAYING SIBLINGS
Oh yes, did you forget about them? This is very important as these kids are an important part of the family as well. Make sure you are well stocked with things for them to do or snack on while their brother/sister is playing in their games. It can become hard to watch your child playing in the game and also watch your other children. The better you plan the more you can watch your child who is actually playing in the game with no worries of the other kids who get dragged along.
Make sure you are prepared for snacks and proper hydration for your playing athletes. Many times in tournaments you may play multiple games in a day and rest and recovery are important to your child’s performance on the field or court. Try and have a plan and eat properly… as much the kids love cheeseburgers, a trip to 5 Guys Burger and Fries before a game may not be the best thing.
