Basic Information

Age Group: (8-11yrs) (12-15yrs) (16-Adult)
Number of Players: 8+
Difficulty: Hard
Time: 20-25 min.
Emphasis: Passing, Finishing, Attacking, Defending

Field Preparation:

  • 2 teams
  • grid (30yds x 40yds)
  • cones to mark off area
  • middle zone10 yards deep
  • 2 goals with goalies
  • pinnies


  • teams play 2 v 3 in each end zone
  • teams score by passing the ball to a target player in the middle zone who then attempts to pass it to an
  • attacking player in the end zone
  • once target player made a pass he can enter zone to support the attackers
  • if the defenders win the ball, the target player must return to the middle zone to receive a pass
  • switch roles every 4-5 minutes


  • defenders must make a lofted pass to teammates in attacking zone
  • limit number of touches for attackers and/or defenders
  • adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group

  • vision
  • body position
  • decision making
  • verbal and visual communication
  • spread out attack
  • quick finish
  • first touch takes ball away from pressure
  • support position lateral to ball
