Basic Information

Age Group: (8-11yrs) (12-15yrs) (16-Adult)
Number of Players: 8+
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
Time: 10-15 min.
Emphasis: Finishing

Field Preparation:

  • 2 teams
  • each player with a ball
  • 2x goals with goalies
  • good supply of cones
  • good supply of balls for continuous play


  • the first player in each line dribbles towards the other goal and passes to the player from the other group as shown
  • the players then take a shot on goal on their second touch
  • repeat sequence
  • switch sides after 6-10 minutes


  • specify how players must shoot (left or right foot, inside or laces, high or low etc.)
  • players must make a lofted pass to their partner
  • players must finish on goal by dribbling around the goalie
  • players must finish on goal on their first touch
  • adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group

  • eye on ball
  • quality of preparation touch
  • aggressive and positive mentality
  • placement versus power
  • accurate passes
