Six Goal Game
Youth soccer coaches should explain the rules to their players before starting a controlled scrimmage. Use the soccer tips in this game to improve your coaching and remember to teach players the skills needed to be successful during a game.

Basic Information
Age Group: (5-7yrs) (8-11yrs) (12-15yrs) (16-Adult)

Difficulty: Easy-Medium
Time: 15-25 min.
Emphasis: Dribbling, Attacking, Defending
Field Preparation:
- 2 teams
- grid (30yds x 40yds)
- cones to mark off area
- 2 goals with goalies
- 4 cone goals (3-4yds)
- pinnies
Description:
- each team defends and attacks 2 cone goals and 1 goal with goalie
- goalkeeper can defend cone goals only with his feet and the big goal with his hands
- 1 point for a goal on a cone goal and 3 points for goal on a large goal
- all restarts due to out of bounds, fouls, goals, are started by the goalies (no punting allowed)
Variation:
- minimum of three touches
- players must dribble through cone goals
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
