Basic Information

Age Group: (5-7yrs) (8-11yrs) (12-15yrs)
Number of Players: 6+
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 5-10 min.
Emphasis: Dribbling

Field Preparation:

  • 2 groups
  • each player with a ball
  • cones to mark off area

Description:

  • on coach’s command all players dribble to opposite line
  • first group to arrive at the opposite line wins
  • play multiple rounds

Variation:

  • specify how players must dribble (inside or outside of foot, left or right foot only etc.)
  • when groups meet in the middle the players perform a variation of drills (swap ball with neighbor,
  • specific move, 10 toe taps, 10 tick tocks etc.)
  • adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group

  • agility and balance
  • contact surface of foot
  • change of speed & direction
  • close control
  • soft touches
