Two Shots On Goal
There’s really no question why shooting drills for soccer are often a preferred activity to perform. However shooting is quite difficult and demands several motions to come together for you to hit the soccer ball effectively.

Basic Information
Age Group: (5-7yrs) (8-11yrs) (12-15yrs) (16-Adult)
Number of Players: 8+
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 10-15 min.
Emphasis: Finishing
Field Preparation:
- 1 goal with goalie
- good supply of cones
- good supply of balls for continuous play
- repeat setup to accommodate the entire team
Description:
- on coach’s (goalie’s) command both servers pass towards the first player of their group
- the shooters run towards the ball and attempt to finish on goal on their first touch
- the player who scores a goal is awarded a point for his group
- the player whose shot is on target is also awarded a point for his group
- group with most points wins
Variation:
- player must shoot the ball without a bounce in the net (ball must not bounce)
- specify how players must shoot (left or right foot, inside or laces, high or low etc.)
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group

- body position and balance
- eye on ball
- quality of preparation touch
- contact surface
- aggressive and positive mentality
