My kids love roll-ups! I’m not sure what the obsession is with them, but I’m OK with it. They are versatile and easy sandwiches to grab-n-go. They are also a perfect food to take with you on busy weeknights or weekends.
Roll-ups
If for some reason you are unfamiliar with roll-ups, here’s the basics:
Take a tortilla or a flattened piece of bread and add any topping you’d like.
Then roll it up. 😉 If you use peanut butter or a dressing, use a little on the seam to “glue” it together. ( I normally add a toothpick too.)
The thing I like the best about these type of sandwiches is that they are easy to hold. You can hold them with one hand!
HERE is our post on great containers.
Pinwheels
The other way to serve roll-ups, is to turn them into pinwheels by cutting them into small circles. These make bite sized sandwiches that are also easy to transport and eat.
My kids love peanut butter, so they have fun coming up with different pb & ___ combos. 🙂 The sandwich above is a peanut butter, apple and honey!
Either way you prepare these sandwiches, your kids are sure to love them. And it’s a simple and fun spin on a traditional.
