Step by Step Instructions (With Pictures)
Step 1: Roll The Dough Out
To prevent the dough from sticking and tearing, lightly flour the rolling pin and surface that you will be rolling out the dough on. If using the Pillsbury Pizza Crust dough you will need to unroll the dough first before rolling it flat.
Step 2: Cut Dough Into Pizza Slices
Using a pizza cutter, cut out large triangles.
Note: we were making appetizers this time, so ours are considerably smaller with small slices of ham/salami/pepperoni.
Feel free to increase the width of your slices to fit your ingredients more easily!
Step 3: Place Toppings & Roll Up
Place a dollop of sauce first, then top with whatever you have chosen to go on your delicious pizza rolls.
Roll the pizza slices up like a crescent roll, starting with the side that has your toppings. This can be a little messy, don’t worry if it takes a few tries on the first roll up!
Step 4: Press Rolls Into Parmesan & Breadcrumb Mixture
Mix the parmesan and breadcrumbs in a small bowl, then press each roll* in the mixture to completely coat them.
Optional: lightly brush the rolls with melted butter or olive oil to help the mixture adhere better.
Step 5: Place Coated Rolls on Parchment Lined Pan
Place your coated rolls onto the parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a golden brown color.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or leftover pizza sauce.
