This time of year is all about comfort food! I love the smells coming from a soup simmering on the stove. It makes the house just feel cozier. I don’t know about you, but the cold weather doesn’t seem to slow down the evening activities all that much!! We still have things going on throughout the week (for us it’s dance). Having dinner ready before practice can be such a juggling act. I love the idea of a quick soup that can be ready in about 30 minutes! So here’s a list of 13 hearty soups that can make your weeknights (or any night) a little simpler.

These 13 soups are great for when you need something quick or last minute. We eat a few of these on a regular basis during the winter, so I just make sure I keep the ingredients on hand. If we have a night that we won’t be able to all eat dinner at the same time, I throw the soup in my slow cooker on the “warm” setting and it’s ready for all the different shifts. {Just make sure you cook it following the directions first, before you put it in the slow cooker.}
